Hello water polo friends!We were on the road this weekend, going to Toronto for the annual Polopalooza tournament. To start the weekend there was a welcoming party at the Churchmouse and Firkin. Plenty of beer, and crazy purple gift bags. We won our first game, which was against NYC2, thanks to great goal tending from OJ and sweet goals by Amir, Carlos, Omid and Cat! 5 to 3 was the final score. The second game was against Toronto white, and again a win for us with a score of 5 to 3. One of the highlights was a goal that OJ scored from his net at the end of the first quarter! Our last game of the day Saturday was against Toronto Red, and it was very difficult as expected. While the final score was 16 to 0, we played a good game just the same. The team went out for Persian food to refuel. We only had one game on Sunday, and instead of playing CAMO, we forfeit our game in order to mix the teams and play just for fun. As a result we finished tied 3rd place, letting CAMO advance to the final without a fight. A good weekend ACC, and a thank you to Toronto Triggerfish for organizing another great tournament!
